This was the final round for the CCS Atlantic Championship and all of us riders, crew and fans were on pins and needles as we drove down to New Jersey. We arrived at the gates to find once again that the policies and prices were different (at least they are consistent in their inconsistency) and we got down to setting up what turned into the ECS Compound: Six bikes, five racers, an RV, two trailers, six tents, a fast guy in a bathrobe and three dogs.
Friday practice was a bit grey, but Saturday morning broke a clear and beautiful blue. It was time to go racing:
